Poly-strap is manufactured from "PET " Polyester (Polyethylene terephthalate) which is a new Environment friendly strapping material to substitute Steel Strap and Polypropylene (PP) Strap. For the advantages it offers , it is being increasingly used in packaging for strapping medium and heavy bales replacing Steel. PET strap has better strength to weight ratio than steel & PP. |

Polyester Straps and Steel Straps
- Polyester strappings are much lighter in weight with better strength to weight ratio thus more economical than steel strappings.
- Polyester strappings is more elastic than steel strappings, which is very important in securing heavy loads over a long period of time.
- Polyester strap does not damage the products as it does not have the sharp edge and also does not rust and stain packs under moisture.
- Polyester strapping does not cause any injuries while Tensioning or Cutting as it has smooth edges.
- Polyester strapping has thus replaced steel strapping for packaging pressed bales of cotton, jute, polyester fibre in International Markets.

Polyester Straps and Polypropylene Straps
- Polyester (Pet)is much more stronger & stable material than Polypropylene (PP)
- Polyester Straps retains tension longer than Polypropylene Straps due to higher tensile strength whereas PP strapping easily brakes under pressure.
- It has a more "elastic" effect of keeping shrinking packages tighter.
- Polypropylene Straps can be used for light application only whereas Polyester straps can be used for heavy and medium applications.
